HACKTHORN and COLD HANWORTH PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting of Hackthorn & Cold Hanworth Parish Council held on Tuesday 10th January 2023 at 8.00pm in Hackthorn Village Hall

Present: Councillors Pickering (Chair), Bright, Finney, Marsden and Cracroft-Eley.

In attendance: Helen Pitman (Clerk); West Lindsey Cllr Grimble. 

1.   Apologies for Absence - Councillors Graves and Albone. Accepted.

2.   To receive declarations of interest – There were no declarations at this point.

3.   Minutes of meeting held on 10th November 2022- Signed as a true record.

4.   Chair and councils comments- None.

5.   Clerk’s report on matters outstanding: - 

a)   Signpost magazine aware of new contact details

b)   Election information given to councillors. 

c)   Missing sign reported to LCC and fly tipping to WLDC. Both have been actioned.

6.   Reports from outside bodies:- None

7.   Planning- Scampton meeting scheduled for 25th January. Chairman to attend. 

8.   Financial matters: H. Pitman: £218; HMRC: £48.20; Hackthorn Village Hall: £25. Payment approved. Resolved to add the chairman and Cllr Finney as signatories. Precept upon the Charging Authority form duly signed.

9.   To note general correspondence- circulated.

10.   To adopt standing orders and financial regulations- Adopted.

11.   To further discuss installation of village entrances- Cllr Bright supplied a map of locations. Cost of gates to be investigated by Cllr Bright. Councillors in favour of the project. Agenda

12.   To discuss tree planting in the village- No further information supplied. agenda. 

13.   Items of information to be noted and if necessary to be dealt with at the next meeting- Chairman raised concern that the defibrillator is not being checked. Clerk to speak with previous clerk re rota.

14.   To resolve to move into closed session to further discuss alterations to war memorial and resolve on quotes- Five alternatives proposed by Cllr Finney. Either option 4 or 5 preferable. Cllr Finney to approach the history group, church wardens and British Legion. No quotes to discuss.
