Minutes of the meeting of Hackthorn & Cold Hanworth Parish Council held on Thursday 29th September 2022 at 7.30pm in Hackthorn Village Hall
Prior to the commencement of the meeting there will be a public forum for a maximum of 10 minutes when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council.
Present: Councillors Finney (Vice Chair), Graves, Marsden, Albone and Bright.
1. Apologies for Absence - To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Clerk prior to the meeting. Councillors Cracroft-Eley and Pickering had sent their apologies as they both have an interest in item 3a.
2. To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests. No Councillors present at the meeting had an interest in items on the agenda. Councillors Pickering and Cracroft-Eley did not attend the meeting, as they both have an interest in application number 144872.
3. Planning Matters to include:
a) 144872 - Planning application for erection of 3no. dwellings and alteration to vehicular access. At - land off Main Street Hackthorn. Members had viewed the application prior to the meeting. They discussed wildlife, visual amenity and materials for the driveway and drainage. The following response was submitted to WLDC from the Parish Council:
“Hackthorn and Cold Hanworth Parish Council ask if due consideration has been given due to the metalled access and possible run off onto Main Street, Hackthorn, in exceptional circumstances of heavy rainfall.”
4. Councillors’ reports: Councillors’ reports and items for inclusion on the next agenda: Councillors are requested to use this opportunity to report minor matters of information not included elsewhere on the agenda and to raise items for future agendas. Councillors are respectfully reminded that this is not an opportunity for debate or decision making.
Members briefly discussed the RAF Scampton proposals. Clerk to send letter re Red Arrows to members.
